1. Definitions

• "Foundation" refers to Sree Girijeswari Kali Mata Foundation.
• "Platform" refers to the Hotel Tarapith website and booking system at hoteltarapith.com.
• "User" / "You" refers to any individual accessing or using our platform.
• "Hotel Partner" refers to hotels, guesthouses, and accommodation providers listed on our platform.
• "Booking" refers to any confirmed reservation made through our platform.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account, making a booking, or browsing our website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, legally capable of entering into a binding agreement, and that you accept these Terms and Conditions in full. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and registered members of the platform.

3. Booking Policy

• All bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
• A booking is considered confirmed only after full payment has been successfully processed and a confirmation email or SMS has been sent to you.
• You are responsible for providing accurate guest information during booking. Incorrect details may result in complications at check-in.
• Hotel Tarapith reserves the right to cancel or refuse a booking in cases of suspected fraud, inaccurate information, or technical errors in pricing.
• Check-in and check-out times are as specified by the respective Hotel Partner and must be adhered to.
• Valid government-issued photo ID is mandatory at check-in as required under Indian law.

4. Pricing and Payments

• All prices displayed on our platform are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
• Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. We accept UPI, debit/credit cards, net banking, and wallet payments.
• Hotel Tarapith charges a service fee of up to 15% per booking, which is included in the displayed price.
• We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors. In case of a significant pricing error, you will be offered the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel with a full refund.
• Currency is Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise specified.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Cancellation policies vary by Hotel Partner and are clearly displayed on each hotel's listing page before you complete your booking.
• Refunds for eligible cancellations will be processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
• No-show bookings (failure to arrive without prior cancellation) are generally non-refundable unless the specific hotel's policy states otherwise.
• Partial refunds may apply for bookings cancelled within the penalty period as defined by the Hotel Partner.
• In case of Hotel Partner-initiated cancellations or unforeseen circumstances (natural disasters, government orders, etc.), a full refund will be issued.

6. User Responsibilities

• You agree to use this platform solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
• You must not provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information during registration or booking.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must treat hotel staff, properties, and other guests with respect. Any damage caused to hotel property will be your financial responsibility.
• Misuse of the platform, including attempting to manipulate pricing, reviews, or booking systems, will result in immediate account termination.

7. Hotel Partner Responsibility

Hotel Tarapith acts as an intermediary platform connecting guests with Hotel Partners. While we make every effort to verify listed properties, the Foundation is not directly responsible for:

• The quality, cleanliness, or condition of the hotel beyond what is represented on the listing
• Any disputes arising directly between the guest and the Hotel Partner
• Changes made to hotel facilities, amenities, or room configurations by the Hotel Partner

However, we take all guest complaints seriously and will actively mediate to resolve any issues.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this platform — including text, images, logos, graphics, and software — is the intellectual property of Sree Girijeswari Kali Mata Foundation or its licensors and is protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this platform without prior written permission from the Foundation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sree Girijeswari Kali Mata Foundation shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of our platform
• Loss of data, revenue, or profits due to technical failures or service interruptions
• Actions, omissions, or negligence of Hotel Partners
• Any events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific booking in question.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Birbhum District, West Bengal, India.

11. Changes to Terms

The Foundation reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the platform after any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
